Shortly before leaving the Sunset District of San Francisco after having lived there for nearly 10 years, I created this small series of photographs documenting the uniqueness of the neighborhood during its namesake time of day.

Ascender

94 original photographs taken in the southern winter of 2017. The images were composed during a 5-day trek through the Salkantay Pass in the Peruvian Andes. Each photograph is presented in chronological order and marked by the altitude at which it was captured.
